Baroi AI is an independent software studio operated by a solo developer, Subhodeep Baroi, based in India. We develop AI-powered Android and web applications designed to simplify everyday tasks while respecting your digital privacy.

In short: We collect almost nothing. Here's the full breakdown:

What We Do Not Collect

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone) — unless you voluntarily contact us
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device contacts, photos, or files (unless an app feature explicitly requires local access with your permission)
• Browsing history or cross-app activity
• Advertising IDs or behavioral profiles
• Biometric data of any kind

What We May Collect

• Voluntary contact information: If you email us, we receive your email address. We use it only to respond to you and never add it to marketing lists.
• Website analytics (anonymized): Our GitHub Pages site may use basic, anonymized page-view counters. These do not track individual users, use cookies, or collect personal data.
• Crash logs (if applicable): Some apps may include opt-in crash reporting to help us fix bugs. These logs contain only technical data (device model, OS version, error stack trace) and never contain your personal content or identifiers.

The limited information we handle is used strictly for:

• Responding to your messages when you voluntarily reach out via email or social media
• Improving app stability through anonymous crash data (opt-in only)
• Understanding general traffic patterns on our website (aggregate, non-personal data only)

We will never use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

A core part of our engineering philosophy is local-first AI. Whenever technically feasible, AI processing happens directly on your device. This means:

• Your prompts, inputs, and generated results stay on your device
• No data is sent to external servers for processing
• AI features work offline when possible
• You maintain full control over your content at all times

In cases where an app requires cloud-based API calls (e.g., for capabilities that can't run locally), this is clearly disclosed within the app before you use that feature. You will always have the choice to opt out of cloud-dependent features.

Some of our apps and our website may use third-party services. We carefully select these services and disclose their use. They may include:

• GitHub Pages: Our website and some web apps are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub's own privacy policy applies to their infrastructure.
• AI APIs (where disclosed): If an app connects to an external AI service (such as OpenAI, Google, or others), this is stated within the app. We recommend reviewing the respective provider's privacy policy. We act only as a facilitator and do not store the data exchanged with these services.
• Google Play Store: If you download our apps from Google Play, Google may collect standard data per their own policies. This is outside our control.

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any outside parties. This includes:

• Advertisers and ad networks
• Data brokers
• Analytics companies
• Any third party for marketing purposes

The only exception is if we are legally required to disclose information in response to a valid legal request from a government authority with proper jurisdiction.

Since we collect minimal data, retention is straightforward:

• Email correspondence: Retained only as long as needed to address your inquiry, then deleted within 90 days.
• Crash logs: Anonymized logs are retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes, then automatically purged.
• On-device data: Any data stored locally by our apps remains entirely under your control. You can delete it at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

Regardless of your jurisdiction, we believe you have fundamental rights over your data. You can:

• Access: Request a copy of any data we hold about you
• Delete: Request that we delete any data we hold about you
• Correct: Request correction of any inaccurate information
• Opt-Out: Decline any optional data collection (crash reporting, etc.)
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format

Our apps and services are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at subhodeepbaroi2@gmail.com and we will promptly delete any such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will:
